534. The Patent Shaft & Axletree Co., Wednesbury (IZ). Dec. 1845, Jan., Jun. 1846, Feb., May 1847. 10 items. 50 horse power double-acting crank engine, with 36 inch cylinder, 6 foot stroke, parallel motion, [cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod].
Reverse sections of the engine house, longitudinal section of the boiler, plan of the engine and boiler houses; reverse plan and elevation of safety, feed, damper, steam and waste water pipes; 6 inch and 3 inch pumps, crank and spur wheel - partially coloured reverse drawings. All the drawings bear letter codes. Also drawing of crank pin marked "The original received with letter from Patent Shaft & Axltetree Co."; pencil plan of the engine house; pencil sketches of pipes, shaft and spur wheel with notes on the reverse.
