10 [?] horse power sun & planet engine, with 26 inch cylinder, 6 foot stroke, parallel motion. Engine formerly belonged to Folliot Scott & Co. and Gardner Manser & Co.
Reverse plan of the engine and boiler, reverse section of engine house, Nov. 1789; plan of the premises, Nov. 1789, marked "direct copy from Mr. Rennie's" - the drawing shows the locations of 3 engines, including "A small blowing engine for the chafferies"; working gear - partially coloured reverse front and side view, Apr. 1790 and reverse front and side view, Aug. 1790; reverse section of the engine and boiler, plan of the engine and boilers marked "The rotative parts same as at Rotherhithe", Aug. 1790. All the drawings bear letter codes.

For William and John Wilson. Forge engine, Wilsontown, Lanark. This engine was originally erected for Folliot Scott & Co. at the King & Queen Foundry, Rotherhithe, in 1785. The foundry was bought by Gardner Manser & Co. circa 1789, and this engine was stopped in Apr. 1790. William Wilson had been planning to acquire an engine for his forge, and bought this engine from Gardner Manser & Co. The engine originally had sun and planet rotative gear, and the note on the Aug. 1790 plan suggests that it remained a sun and planet engine. Note that the List of Engines made at Soho describes it as a 10 horse, whereas John Southern's List of Books describes it as being 12½ horse power.
