Single-acting engine, with 26 inch cylinder, 7 foot stroke, chain connection. Alteration of an existing engine.

Coloured original and reverse general view of the engine, plan of the engine and pump pit, front view of the engine and cross-section of boiler; reverse plan of the engine house and cylinder framing, section of the engine house, drawings of the cistern; working gear - partially coloured original and reverse front and side views, coloured original sent to the company; nozzles - reverse drawing; coloured plan of the engine and pump and round and oblong boilers; section of the two boilers and steam pipes; section of the engine and engine house and pumps marked "Copy from Mr. Tawney's drawings of Hillmorton Engine on the Oxford Canal" - this shows the engine prior to Boulton Watt & Co.'s alterations. All the drawings except the last 3 items bear letter codes.
