For Robert Wallace Johnson, "Doctor of physick", and Blissett William Gould of Brentford. Mill for grinding starch, barley, malt and flour, Brentford. Boulton & Watt were initially reluctant to agree to this engine as they feared Johnson & Gould might compete with the Albion Mill. The engine never worked particularly well, and was sold in 1796, by which time the firm had become Johnson Gould & Co. It was bought by George and James Bishop, distillers, of Maidstone.
