3 horse power crank engine, with 10½ inch cylinder, 3 foot stroke, direct connection, A frame. Engine formerly belonged to Hawkesbury Colliery, Bedworth.

For the Lancaster Canal Co. Engine used for grinding mortar. The engine was originally made for Hawkesbury Colliery, Bedworth, in 1791, but was repurchased by Boulton & Watt and sold to the Lancaster Canal Co. in 1793. The canal company sold the engine to Ridgway & Son in 1809.
