Description6 horse power double-acting sun & planet engine, with 14 inch cylinder, 4 foot stroke, parallel motion.

Includes coloured original and reverse general view of the engine, coloured original and reverse plans and sections of the engine and boiler; framing and cistern - reverse drawings; parallel motion - coloured original and reverse drawings marked "5 Mar. 1793 BES - Mr. John Abraham" and "26 Jun. 1793 BNQ Messrs. John Green & Co. - one like this"; working gear - coloured original and reverse front and side views. All the drawings bear letter codes.

For Edmund Shaw. Cotton mill, Cable St., Salford. According to the Catalogue of Old Engines, the engine passed into the hands of Shaw's executors and was let to a Mr. Branthwaite in 1802, and was tenanted by a Mr. Brown in 1809.
