For John Smith. These drawings were made in response to an enquiry by a Mr. Porter of Golden Hill Lane End. The Drawings Day Book noted that the originals were to be left at the Newcastle-under-Lyme coach office. The enquiry appears to have gone no further as no engine for Smith or Porter appears in the Engine Order Book or the List of Engines made at Soho.
