For Thomas Philips & Co. Hat manufactory, Manchester. John Addenbrooke originally bought this engine, coded n, for Moor Croft Iron Works at Wednesbury in 1803. Boulton Watt & Co. repurchased it from him in 1804 and sold it to Philips in 1807, when it was re-coded ZZ.
