Description14 horse power double-acting sun & planet engine, with 20 inch cylinder, 5 foot stroke, parallel motion.

Includes coloured general view of the engine and reverse copy, which show some architectural features of the engine house such as doors, stairs; ground plans and sections of the mill showing the engine and millwork; coloured drawing of "Method of Regulating the opening of the Valves"; connecting rods, working gear (2 coloured drawings), piston and condenser, steam pipes, fly wheel and shafts; parallel motion - 3 drawings, one of which is marked "The other drawing is right", and one of which is coloured; boiler and seating; 2 drawings of injection gear by James Law; sheet of calculations.

For Samuel Walker, George Walker and Hugh Ley (or Lea), corn and flour merchants, Chester, Cheshire. Flour mill, West Chester. Often referred to on the drawings simply as "Samuel Walker's engine". The concern later became G. Walker's alone.
