| Description | 8 horse power double-acting sun & planet engine, with 16 inch cylinder, 4 foot stroke, parallel motion. Power later increased to 10 horses. New nozzles and eccentric working gear added 1803. Cast iron beam added 1805.

For Strutt & Sons. Cotton mill, Derby. John Southern records the concern as "John Strutt & Sons" in his List of Books, but the agreement is signed by Jedediah Strutt. By 1797 the concern had become W. G. & J. Strutt, and they had a second mill at Milford.
