Six 10 horse power independent crank engines, with 19¾ inch cylinders, 2½ foot strokes, parallel motions, cast iron beams, cast iron connecting rods.

Reverse side view of the engine and cross-section of the boilers, cross-section of the engine, plan of the engine and boilers, longitudinal section of boiler (4 drawings on 1 sheet). The drawings bear letter codes.

Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 690. Catalogue of Old Engines p. 220, 222, 242.

This sheet of drawings were used for six separate engines. Henry Hazleton assigned a portfolio number to each engine despite the fact that there were no individual drawings for the engines. The engines were as follows:
Henry Wildman, Jamaica (ZW) [Hazleton's Portfolio 896].
Sugar plantation engine for Jamaica ordered by Henry Wildman of Fen Court, Fenchurch St., London. The original drawings for this engine were made in May 1813.
Addison & Bagot, Jamaica (ZV) [Hazleton's Portfolio 891].
For Mr. James, Wildman's Estate, Jamaica. Sugar plantation engine ordered by Addison & Bagot of Seel St., Liverpool. The original drawings for this engine were made in Sep. 1813. The engine was originally allocated to Joseph Timperon & Co. for Mr. Parker.
A. G. Milne (ZAD) [Hazleton's Portfolio 892].
Engine ordered by A. G. Milne of Fenchurch St., London. The original drawings for this engine were made in Sep. 1813. Henry Hazleton listed this engine with the British rather than the sugar plantation Independent Engines in the Catalogue of Old Engines.
Jos. Marryat & Sons, Trinidad (ZAA) [Hazleton's Portfolio 893].
For Sir Thomas Picton, Union Estate, Trinidad. Sugar plantation engine ordered by Jos. Marryat & Sons. The original drawings for this engine were made in Sep. 1813.
Robert & William Pulsford, Essequibo (ZAP) [Hazleton's Portfolio 894].
For the Mainstay Plantation, Essequibo. Sugar plantation engine ordered by Robert & William Pulsford of Great St. Helens, London. The original drawings for this engine were made in Dec. 1813. The power was increased to 12 horses in 1832.
Robert Birkett, Jamaica (ZAQ) [Hazleton's Portfolio 895].
For the Pusey Hall Estate, Jamaica. Sugar plantation engine ordered by Robert Birkett of Lancaster. The original drawings for this engine were made in Dec. 1813.
