10 horse power independent crank engine, with 19¾ inch cylinder, 2½ foot stroke, parallel motion, cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod.
Also steam heating apparatus.

Reverse plan of the engine and boiler, cross-section of the engine house, side view of the engine, longitudinal section of the boiler; plan of the mills made by George Haden in Oct. 1816 showing steam heating pipes etc. (the 10 horse engine was later added to this plan). All the drawings bear letter codes.

For H. Hicks & Sons. Churching Mills, Eastington, near Stroud, Gloucestershire. The firm later became Hicks Bros., and bought other Boulton Watt & Co. engines [see Portfolios 5/474, 5/500, 5/979]. Hicks Bros. were declared bankrupts in 1835.
