For a cannon foundry, Calcutta, ordered by the East India Co. (engine FM), and pumping engine for Woolwich Dockyard (engine EZ), ordered by the Commissioners of the Navy. The drawings were made for the Calcutta Cannon Foundry in Jun. 1819 and re-used in the same year for the Woolwich engine. Henry Hazleton allocated separate portfolio numbers to the engines despite the fact that they did not have separate drawings; the Calcutta Cannon Foundry's was Portfolio 961 and Woolwich's was Portfolio 962. He listed the Woolwich engine among the Dock & Harbour engines rather than among the Independent Engines.
