964. Davidsons Barkly & Co., Jamaica (DY) and Berbice (GD). Jun., Oct. 1819. 2 items. Two 10 horse power independent crank engines, with 19¾ inch cylinders, 2½ foot strokes, parallel motions, cast iron beams, cast iron connecting rods.

For Goshen, Jamaica (engine DY) and for Mr. Cameron, Highbury Estate, Berbice (engine GD). Sugar plantation engines ordered by Davidson Barkly & Co. of Lime St., London. The drawings were made for the Jamaica engine in Jun. 1819 and re-used in the same year for the Berbice engine. Henry Hazleton allocated separate portfolio numbers to the engines despite the fact that they did not have separate drawings; the Jamaica engine was Portfolio 964 and the Berbice engine was Portfolio 965.
