All these drawings bear letter codes.

For the Hamburg Board of Public Works. Pumping engines, Hamburg, Germany. The drawings of 1866 were for a pumping engine with an 85 inch cylinder and an 11 foot stroke, and the drawings of 1870 were for a compound pumping engine. James Watt & Co. tendered for both these engines but appear not to have been awarded the contracts.
