Bolt Making Machine:

Hydraulic pumps:
Set of numbered drawings (all partially coloured, not dated):
1 - plan; 2 - section; 3 - section (with tracing copy); 4 - side elevation and transverse section (with tracing copy); 5 - connecting rod (with tracing copy); 6 - front elevation; 7 - full size section and front elevation of part of the machinery.

Plan and elevations of set of 8 pumps, not dated.

Plan and elevations of a set of horizontal hydraulic pumps with 6 inch strokes - tracing and copy on blueprint paper marked "Drawing No. a/1291", Mar. 1879.

Also letter from Arthur Bayley to G. B. Martin dated 140 Aberdeen St., Winson Green, 6 Dec. 1878, with details of pumps; letter from Sir Joseph Whitworth & Co., Manchester, to W. C. Letter (press copy) from ? to Richard Halliday [?], Newton St. Works, Birmingham, dated 8 Mar. 1880, re quote for the 9 inch hoop mill; letter (press copy) from G. B. Martin to Richard Halliday [?], dated 8 Warstone Villas, Alfred Road, Handsworth, 11 Mar. 1880, re tenders for the 9 inch hoop mill; press copy page from a tender for the hoop mill; transcript of letter from Thomas Nash to W. C. Stiff dated Nether Edge, Sheffield, 3 Nov. 1880 with results of tests on steel bolts; press copy order note for extra set of "chilled shand rolls" for rolling hoops (not dated).

Hydraulic Pumps and Draw Bench:
Pencil specification by W. C. Stiff for 6 extra strong hydraulic pumps, 26 Apr. 1882; memoranda "Particulars relating to Hydraulic Draw Bench" for drawing one and two tubes, Sep. 1882; general arrangement of engines and draw bench foundations - copy on blueprint paper, Feb. 1883 [the letter code has been cut away]; memorandum by G. B. Martin "Particulars of Pumps required to work a ram 7 inches diameter at a speed of 16 feet per minute, allowing 15% loss from pumps"; small sheet of notes on 7 inch ram for drawing 20 foot of tube.

Twisting Machine:
Girders and plate etc., shaft and guide rods, girder and block, alteration to engine crank shaft - copies on blueprint paper, Sep. and Oct. 1882. All the drawings bear letter codes.

Tracing of balance weight etc. marked "Alterations required shown in red", not dated.
