Copy letter from Mr Cator ab[ou]t a convers[atio]n with the King, who declines the purchase of the mint but seems bent upon the introduction of steam vessels. Will remain in town till the middle of next week. Has hopes of Mr Lawson. Approves of the purchase of Carreg y van & leaves it to me to take it or give it to him. Mr Rennie returned from Sheerness, of which he gives a good report. |
