| Description | Bundle of thirty-six letters and bills to James Watt, from doctors, about Gregory's health, 1804. Listed on the 1870 inventory as in Tin Box 4. [see JWP 3/68].
There is a bundle wrapper, written in black ink, as follows:
'Medical correspondence on Gregory's illness.'
'No. 1 to 36' has been added in red ink. The letters are numbered in red ink.
The letters were arranged in approximately chronological order, with the most recent letter first, with the correspondence from Dr. Beddoes separated from that with Dr. Creaser by a few letters from Dr. Barr and Dr. Carmichael.
They have now been placed in chronological order beginning with the earliest letter, and renumbered.
The dockets on the letters have been written by James Watt with the name of the correspondent and the date, and some have a very brief summary.
