When purchased in 1993/4, the essay on a system of characters for chemical subjects was not present. It was sold separately in March 2003 at the James Watt Sale at Sotheby's. The 'Shorthand' papers include lists of vocabulary, grammar etc , perhaps for an artificial language. |
