Description[He has had another letter from Magellan who is proposing to publish an account of the discovery of latent heat which does not attribute it to Black. Watt asks for relevant dates and publications, so that he can prevent erroneous information being published. Magellan is a bad writer but has a wide correspondence. ‘ I am really much vexed that you have let so many plagiaries rob you of the honour of the greatest discovery this age has produced.’ Dr. Withering has been experimenting with heating iron by hammering].
