TitleLetter. James Watt (Birmingham) to Joseph Black (Edinburgh).
LevelItem
Date30 May 1780
Description[On hearing that Alexander Fordyce had made an application to Parliament for exemption from the duties on sea salt that would be used for alkali production, Watt and Mr Keir have petitioned the House of Commons, on Dr. Black’s behalf as well, for a similar exemption, as this may be a project to take up again in the future.
