16 April 1806. Receipt of his letter announcing purchase of Badland farms. Desire him to draw on firm for £348. 15[s]. Queries concerning Burchope Manor, Kinnerton etc. Will send him remittance to pay L[or]d O[xford] in a day or two. Am ready to pay for Badland as soon as conveyances are ready. Cheese & Davies have sent boundaries of maor which I do not quite understand. Books of Manor to be had. James has set out for London. Effect of property tax on raising rents. Gigrin farm to be sold.
17 April 1806. Inclose d[ra]ft for £2,000, in his favour. Gigrin farm not to [be] bought but entire nor unless a good bargain. Queries as to Boundaries of Burchope Manor. No waggon to be bought for Doldowlod.
19 April 1806. Cautions about Crown debts owing by vendors of estates.
