| Description | 445 letters arranged in alphabetical order. Where there is more than one letter from a correspondent, the individual's letters are then in chronological order. There is one surviving original bundle wrapper. This is for a group of twenty letters, and reads: 'Letters from Divers of Messrs. Walkers Italian Correspondents. 1793.' These letters have been kept in the alphabetical sequence and placed after the correspondence with Thomas Walker. Nine of the letters from Richard or Thomas Walker are marked 'Private', but it is not possible to tell if they were kept in a separate bundle from the business letters, and in practice the contents of the letters cover both business and private concerns. They have therefore been listed as part of the main sequence. The letters were transferred into 21 modern folders in the ?1970s and numbered as , and numbered B&W/M IV/ Box /Bundle W in 1987. In 1999 they were transferred into archival folders.
