I have to acknowledge the receipt of your Note enclosing £35—the balance of the purchase of Mr Hamper's collections relating to Aston.
I have spoken to Mr Sharp and he has promised that any articles which may appear belonging to the collection shall be handed over.
He recollects the plate of Water Orton & was surprized to find that it was deficient, & he expressed no doubt that it would turn up.
Sir Geo Chetwynd bought the Warwickshire, and he made the same promise to me.
I am sorry that you should feel disappointment at the purchase, but trust that further researches will tend to your greater satisfaction
