I yesterday received from Mr. John Wade the Share Broker a note announcing that he had secured for you in London five old Birmingham Canal Shares at £195 per Share, to cover every expense except the transfer charge at the Canal Office, as before. This is 12s/- per Share under the limit I gave him.
It will be from a week to a fortnight ere the payment will be required. I have to day deposited Halstaff & Co's parcel and another (directed to me in Frederick street) in the Housekeeper's room; Your Bank book Mr. Langdon desires me to hold till your return.
