| Description | (This item is a hardback notebook with a yellow/green cover. On the front cover there are the years '1774' and '1778' written in black ink. The item is a printed book specifically designed to record mining and engine calculations with each page completed with the information concerning an individual engine. At the back of the notebook there are tables into which the calculations for individual engines made at the front of the book can be entered in to give a table of figures that can easily be compared. On the inside front cover there is a note that reads 'The figure wrote with red ink, at the bottom of each page, signifies the page in the big calculations book, in which that engine is inserted.') |
