| Description | (The item is a small notebook with a card cover. On the front cover there is the inscription 'MB' written in black ink. The notebook is divided into sections representing individual engines in different places and for each one there are several entries progressing in chronological order. Inside the back cover there is an index giving the different engines and the different page numbers on which they are featured. Enclosed in the notebook are three items. The first is a list of prices headed 'Boulton & Watt's Engine', the second is an account docketed 'Cornish Engines - Copy of Account of Engines by Captain Gundry and Mr Bevan.' The last item is an account signed by John Williams at Poldice, 11 Nov. 1778. It is docketed; 'Account of coals consumed at new Eastern Engine at Poldice from 11 Aug. to 6 Oct. 1777.') |
