| Description | 'Boylers - 1780.' (This item is a small hardback notebook with a green cover. On the cover is written the preceding inscription. The notebook contains dated entries of experiments concerning boilers and notes made respecting individual boilers such as; 'Dolcoath, new boyler 1780' , 'Ale & Cakes boyler' and 'Wheal Chance - Trial of boyler by William Murdoch.' The notebook also contains numerous sketches of boilers as well as hand drawn tables for recording and comparing calculations relating to boilers. Enclosed in the notebook are two items, the first is a sketch of a boiler, drawn in pencil and the second is a table of calculations representing an individual boiler.) |
