Description(This paper cover notebook appears to have been assembled from folded up sheets and small gatherings of pages. Pages 1 to 44 concern Cornish mines and mining and the copper trade. It contains notes on the copper trade and a copper trade meeting at Truro on 22 Jul. 1785, and 'Notes, Memorandums, Information and Observations' on various Cornish mines including Consolidated Mines, North Downs and Scorrier, Poldice, and general observations on mines. There are also several sheets with the name of a mine at the top for which no information has been filled in.

Pages 45 to 60 consist of 'Memorandums to do in London,' including a rough sketch of a carriage. These may have originally been at the start of the book.

Pages 61 to 163 consist of further notes made in Cornwall, including a diary-style account of Boulton’s journey and time there, notes on 'Copper Mining, Smelting and Selling combined with the Welsh Collieries,' 'Temporary Memorandums,' 'Polgooth pitches beginning Augt. 17th 1785,' 'Notes, Memorandums, Information and Observations' on Polgooth Mine, Chacewater Mine 'orders and resolutions,' 'Pitches set at Chacewater on Tribute,' Chacewater Mine Tut work,' and 'Notes, Memorandums, Information and Observations' on Chacewater Mine' from Sep. 1785.)
