| Description | '1787 July 19th.' (This item is a small hardback notebook with a green cover. On the cover is written the preceding inscription. The notebook contains observations, calculations, diagrams and accounts relating to engines and mining. At the beginning of the notebook there is a table headed; 'Produce in fine copper of the mines in Cornwall from 1st Aug. 1786 to 31st Jul. 1787.' Pages of notes have headings such as; 'Silvering' and 'To make a liquor for proving if there is any sugar of lead in wine.' The notebook also contains dated entries of observations and experiments.) |
