Description'Copper 1791 - 1792 & 1793.' (This item is a small hardback notebook with a green cover. On the cover is written the preceding inscription. On the back cover there is also an inscription but it is so faded that only the date can be made out, 'Oct. 10th 1789.' The notebook contains memorandums, observations, calculations, and diagrams relating to copper. Pages of notes have headings such as; 'Suppose the Birmingham Co. to stand in the shoes of the Yorkshire Co. & Wilson in his own shoes' and 'Calculation of the price at which the Rose Co. can sell Copper to the Smethwick Brass Co.' The notebook also contains dated entries, for example; 'Soho, February 12th 1793. Conversation with Mr Thomas Wilson and my own ideas upon obtaining copper on good terms.')
