Description(This item is a thin 16 page notebook with a card cover. The first 12 pages are taken up with a memorandum on mining. It has the heading 'References to the Section' and further on the sub-heading 'General Observations'. The memorandum is signed by Edward Martin and dated at 'Morriston. Mar. 3 1801.' On the back page there is a memorandum, written by Boulton, and containing a series of questions, such as; 'What is the Expense of laying tram roads per mile?' and 'What will be the Expense of sinking an Engine pit to 59 & 100 fathoms deep?.')
