Dear Sir,
I have received your letter of the 14th and this morning I laid it before Lord Shelburne, who immediately gave orders about it, and in consequence spies are set upon the house, and I am order'd to assure you that no exertion will [be] wanting that is consistent with the laws of our country. Saunders and son are here, and must stay a few days.
