I receiv’d yours on Saturday the 18 Instant which I would certainly have answer’d but unluckily the[re] is no post goes out on that day from this place. I was glad to hear that you and Mr Garbett arrived safe at Edingbourgh. Mrs Vere call’d on me Saturday and took me to Sundbury but I return’d on Sunday morning, she said that my Sister had been at Mr Matthews that she had just return’d to Mrs Moore’s that she was very well. Miss Stretch was married on Monday 12 instant when we all had a Holiday. I suppose you might not set of that you set that day therefore I direct this to Edinbourgh. Mr Vere still continues ill. To morrow I intend writing to my Sister. Give my best respects to Mr Garbett and hope his well.
