TitleLetter. Richard Chippindall (Soho) to William Cheshire (Soho).

Date3 November 1802
DescriptionSir,
I writ you respecting the ten-cash India dies, to which I have not your reply.
I now have to request you will send up all the letters requisite for stamping on the die for Lord Charleville, as Kuckler will not attempt to put the work in the present die, from the shield not being the size of the drawing, and therefore he means to file it out and begin from the first as soon as he has the letters. He reluctantly consented to furnish the die at all, and I dare say was not sorry when he found such an excuse as this to avoid doing it. I hope for your early reply, that I may push it forward now he is in the humor. I remain, sir, your very humble servant,
R. Chippindall
PS. Please to present Mr. Davis's compliments to Mr. B.; he was here this day.

[Noted by Matthew Boulton:] 3 sized letters.
