Description(Directed to Snow Hill. Includes orders from Cantrel & Co., Heinzelmann Bros., and John Prozelius.)

Tottenham, 29 May 1762.
Dear Sir,
I wrote to you last Thursday to desire the favour of your sending imediately the new patterns platina coat buttons for Mr. Ebbinghaus’s inspection, from whom I doubt not of having some order’d. Inclos’d you have an order for such things as he has already look’d out. I had not our platina buckles by me, as Messrs. Heinzelmans had then sent for them, but have taken them this day to Mr. Cantrell’s. Said Messrs. Heinzelmanns have order’d six setts of . . ., which I am perswaded will answer great purpose. I was rather, in my last letter, to severe to you in my sentiments on Mr. Ingram’s coming, for which I ask his pardon, as he, with Messrs. Salt, Glover, and Hutchinson, were invited to meet said gentleman, Mr. Ebbinghaus, in London, with patterns. I imagine, as Mr. Salt was the first, he has procur’d his inlaid button order, which, I am perswaded, is considerable. Those few he order’d afterwards of Mr. Cantrell were entirely out of compliment.
The money Mr. Ingram’s father has assisted Mr. D— with is at 42% interest. I have desired him to write to Bewdley on my account, which I shall second. Expecting this evening a visit from Mr. Jefferys.
I have only time to assure you of the best compliments of this family to yourself, Mrs. Boulton, and all enquiring friends, and that I am steadfastly, dear sir, your affectionate and faithful friend and servant,
Jno. Fothergill
