Description(Dated Thursday, half past four o'clock.)
Dear Friend,
In consequence of a conversation Mr. Hunt favoured me with this morning I sent a card to Mr. Barber, who obligingly called of me since four o'clock, and says that Mr. Farmer, a bellows-maker in Digbeth, and Mr. Harrison, a spectacle maker, heard a man say that he belonged to a club at the top of Deritend who were eleven thousand strong, and were determined before Christmas to level some parks, and particularly Mr. Boulton's, who had turned a poor family out of doors when they had the small pox.
Mr. Barber says he will this night go to Mr. Farmer and endeavour to learn the man's name who made the declaration, but that he cannot go before eight o'clock.
I will attend to it. God bless you.
I am ever most affectionately and gratefully your
Samuel Garbett
