Date25 April 1796
DescriptionDear Friend,
Enclosed I send copy of a letter I wrote to Mr. Hog 24th November last, and a memorandum of particulars I can prove which shew the impropriety of attempting to sell Carron stock. If you have opportunity I wish you would give them to Mrs. Dibbs, Mr. Stevenson, or Mr. John Stevenson Salt, with my very best respects. The impressed copy pray keep.
When may we hope to see you and your lovely daughter on your own territories? God bless and protect you. I am ever your gratefull and affectionate friend,
Samuel Garbett
Pray do me the favour to present me respectfully to Mrs. Matthews.
