| Description | (The documents listed below are apparently the "five papers" referred to in this letter. According to the Assay Office Catalogue the first four were formerly in a packet together with the memorandum of 18 Mar. (see MS 3782/12/62/147).) Dear Friend, When you have a leisure half hour pray be so good as to refer to the five papers I send with this. I have now reason to believe Mr. Hog sees it will be the common interest of my family creditors to forbear selling Carron stock, and that he will acquiesce in the measures which upon that principle I have anxiously urged. If you have no objection I wish you would sign, direct, and forward the enclosed to Messrs. Fenton & Co. I am ever gratefully and affectionately yours, Samuel Garbett [Edited transcript.]
