| Description | (Dated Thursday morning.) [Dear] Friend, Enclosed I send an impressed copy of a letter I send this day [to] Mr. Nicholls. I am ever gratefully and affectionately yours, Samuel Garbett [Edited transcript.]
Copy letter. Samuel Garbett (Birmingham) to Nathaniel Nicholls [London]. 23 Mar. 1797. (Press-copy.) Dear Sir, Mrs. Barker, Mr. Capper, and Mr. Chace's executors have wrote to Mr. Boulton requiring him, as surviving assignee under the commission of bankruptcy against me, to divide the money which is in his hands on the 11th of next month; to which I believe he has answered that there will be a trial in Scotland the latter end of next month, and that afterwards in May he will desire a meeting of creditors and make a dividend. You will remember Mr. Barker has for some years appeared disatisfied. I have sent to Mr. Mackenzie what occurs to me as a reply to Mr. Hog's answer. I am ever, dear sir, most sincerely yours, Samuel Garbett [Edited transcript.] |
