Sir,
In consequence of the power you was pleased to give me by your letter of the 24th of March past, I did on Tuesday last, the 13th current, sign in your name a supersedere or protection to Charles Gascoigne, under certain conditions, with which you have been acquainted; by which means Mr. Samuel Garbett and his son and Charles Gascoigne are fully reinstated as acting partners in Carron Company, free of being expelled the Company in future, tho' their stock in that Company should be under arrestment or vested in trustees-to which I hope for your approbation, and I am, sir, your most obedient humble servant,
