DateApril 1787
Description(Dated Friday night.)

Dear Friend,
I sent your letter because I did not see anything wrong, but I think you might have added also that you wold promote any plan that would make the speediest, as well as the largest, consumption of copper.*
Pray, doth anybody continue at the Copper Office after 'Change hours.
Your letter, I believe, would be too late for the Swan Coach, and therefore I ordered (if it was gone) that the servant should take it to the Dog.
No letter from F. Garbett to day, so that I am sure he has not seen Mr. Pitt.
My best respects to your ladies.
I am ever gratefully yours,
S. Garbett
*Remember that in your next, for that is the great point to Cornwall.
