| Description | Sir, Inclosed are two tubes for your inspection. They could not be smooth'd in the inside in the manner you proposed without running the risque of boring some part quite thro', owing to their being so uneven. These have been smooth'd with a file. They cost ten shillings a piece. Mr. F. E. thought it best to acquaint you of the cost and leave you to fix the profit. There are four more made but not filed in the insides. We shall [await] your determination how they shall be done. The Honourable Mr. Greville has written about his pictures. Mr. Stuart has the letter and some questions to ask of you concerning it. I have the honour to subscribe myself with the greatest deference, sir, your most obliged humble servant, John Hodges PS. Mrs. Boulton and the family are well. Mr. Wilkinson was here to day; I believe he sets off for London in the morning.
