DescriptionSir,
Agreeable to your order, inclosed is Mr. Matthews's account with you; also herewith is a wig which Mrs. Boulton presumes you forgot to take with you, and further is a book from Mr. Buchanan.
By to day's fly waggon would be forwarded to the Bell Inn in Wood Street a large case (containing 11 boxes in which are the ores, &c.) mark'd MB No. 1, address'd to you, to remain at the Inn for your disposal; for want of proper boxes, &c., some of these things could not be pack'd with that security I could have wish'd, but nevertheless I doubt not but they'll arrive safe, and have to wish they may be found to your satisfaction. Mr. Buchanan assisted me in packing part.
The nest of drawers for Mr. Motteux Mr. Lawson has pack'd, and which will be sent off per to morrow's fly waggon, to be deliver'd in Walbrook Street.
I am with the greatest respect, sir, your ever obliged humble servant,
John Hodges
PS. If you cou'd conveniently procure the names of the ancient men in your print, as you was pleas'd to intimate to me you thought you could, it would be well.
