TitleLetter. John Motteux (London) to Matthew Boulton (Soho).
LevelItem
Date30 November 1775
Description[The particulars of Mrs. Baskerville’s types &c., together with a specimen of their printing, have been forwarded to a person at Paris, much connected with the rich Booksellers there. Her offer is under consideration, and if it should meet with approbation you shall immediately be advised of it. With foreign ministers there is a poor chance of success, and the certainty of great trouble; of course it is not worth the attempt. I am sorry to hear of Mr. Berkameyer’s failure.]
