TitleLetter. John Motteux (London) to Matthew Boulton (Soho).
LevelItem
Date12 December 1790
Description[I rejoice that you have taken the resolution of coming to town. It is uncomfortable to be the dupe of any man, particularly such an one as Mr. Droz. You are taking a proper step in having your letters to Droz and all his to you, copied in a book. Droz will certainly lay great stress, as he did before the Arbitrators, on one or two of his being missing. Droz must have found friends to supply him with money.]
