Date22 December 1791
Description[I am this day favoured with your letter of 11 Dec. sent to me under cover from Messrs. Monnerons of Paris, Mr. Peter Monneron having omitted to deliver it when he passed through London. It affords me a real pleasure to hear you are satisfied with those gentlemen. I knew you would be, or I should not have been instrumental in connecting you with them. I am glad you have not suffered in the Paragraphs in the Morning Post to hurt your mind: the authors deserve severe chastisement. My son John was well at Milan and I suppose is now in Tuscany on his road to Naples.]
