Jottings upon the Proposals of Messrs Scales 1st If MB is to take an extra disct of 7½ in lieu of the extra Credit-Besides the inadequacy of the compensation at this time he will be a loser by the latitude allowed to other Customers in their payt while he is obliged to discharge his with scrupelous punctuality.* 2d MB should reserve a right of inspectg the Books or how is he to be satisfied that he enjoys the extra allowance grantd him accordg to the agreemt with Messrs Scales. 3 Does Messr Ss intend to open a sepere bankg Acct with a new house. *MB: will not be tyd down to be obliged to make his payments for goods with more punctuality than other Houses.
