| Description | Soho 15 May 1790. Dear Sir It gives me much concern to trouble you again so soon on the subject of settling our accts.; but if you shoud go to London and engage in the coinage I am fearful this business may remain long unsettled; & I flatter my self that you will find one single hours Attention (or two at most) will be sufficient to settle all that is wanted-and when it is done I have not a doubt but you will be amply repaid by the releif it will afford to your mind as well as to mine. I need not repeat the necessity of its being settled further than saying, not one Acct. can be closed for 1789 nor one line posted for this year untill it is done-the want of which has already led me to committ some errors in making out the Accts. for last quarter. If you cannot readily refer to my Letter of 30 May last I will give you a copy of it. beleive me Yours Sincerely John Scale PS. The Books are so far brought up that Mr. Pearson can in a few minutes shew you how they stand. |
