Dear Sir,
This encloses Dr Roebuck's missive making over to you his property in the engine scheme I proposed to have brought it up myself, but find it necessary that it should immediately be put in your possession, and that you should directly send your approbation as I do not know how far it may be contested at the meeting of his creditors unless it appear an irreliable transaction you must appear as his creditor untill I have your order to discharge the debt which I beg in course of post-I am afraid that his affairs are desperate
